Current occupation: Senior Environment Artist at Sony Playstation
Other schools attended: Woodside High, Foothill College, Academy of Art in San Francisco
Activities: My name was on the science fair plaque! I did a project on earthworms in the 8th grade and tied to win the science fair.
Favorite Woodland memory: I attended primary school in Redwood City and was referred to a Woodland scholarship program. To balance the classes, they were looking for more boys to attend. At first it was intimidating to go to school in a new town and wear uniforms, but I ended up loving it. I made incredible lifelong friendships including Coach Schneider (I was best man in his wedding and he was best man in mine) and am grateful for the excellent teachers, especially the math teachers who helped me through Middle School geometry, which I now use every day in my job creating worlds for Sony PlayStation!
Fun facts and updates: Woodland became something of a family affair. My sister worked in Early Childhood for a few years and my wife taught lower school science at Woodland. She loved the school but wanted to return to multi-subject teaching and is now a 2nd grade teacher at Audubon Elementary School.
I’m currently back at Sony, which was actually my first job out of college. I’ve also worked for LucasArts and some start ups, but enjoy being back at PlayStation creating worlds for players to experience. For me, it’s the perfect balance of technology, creativity and psychology.
